This study describes and qualitatively explains how the chairmen of the associations of higher education advocacy use the power in their organizations. Theoretical framework of the study bases on the previous power research and third sector’s studies. The tactics of power are put forth by using Pfeffer’s classification. The research data was collected from stories wrote by chairmen of the associations during the period when they operated in trust activities. The data collected, was analyzed thereafter by using thematical approach. From the material there were risen some 11 themes, which were still comprised to four categories.
